Mela notifications, research.fi and bookkeeping export
AAPU compiles the statutory Mela notifications for working grants, announces open calls to research.fi and exports grants to bookkeeping as an Excel file. Nothing is copied by hand.
After a grant is awarded, the part of the work begins that nobody wants to do by hand: notifications to Mela, announcing calls to the research funding database and moving payment data to financial administration. AAPU produces these directly from the application and the decision.
Statutory notifications
Mela notifications automatically
AAPU identifies the grants that must be notified (a working grant of at least four months above the threshold) and compiles the notification data from the decision. The foundation checks and submits.
research.fi
An open call is announced to the research.fi (tiedejatutkimus.fi) service directly from AAPU, so researchers find it in the funding search.
Financial administration and reporting
Excel export to bookkeeping
Grants and payment data are exported as an Excel file (xlsx) to your accounting software and reporting.
Reconciliation
AAPU checks that the figures in reports match the amount granted and flags any discrepancy.
Archive and search
Earlier applications, decisions and reports can be found with search and filters going back years.
Included in the annual fee
Mela notifications, research.fi announcements and Excel export are included in the annual fee. There are no separate integration modules.
Questions about notifications and integrations
Does AAPU submit the Mela notification itself?
AAPU identifies the grants that must be notified and compiles the notification data. The foundation checks the notification before submitting. Our blog has an article on Mela notifications.
Is there a separate payments module?
No. Payment data is exported as an Excel file to the foundation’s bookkeeping, and payments are made from there.
Can you integrate directly with our accounting software?
The standard export is an Excel file (xlsx) that the most common software reads directly. A direct integration is agreed case by case.
Where does the research.fi announcement appear?
The call appears in the funding search on research.fi, where researchers and research organisations look for open calls.
